During a previous internship, the lead designer tasked me with creating concept art for the world of Makenirv, a land inhabited by several different races. One of my assignments involved creating a fantasy map layout that would later evolve into a sci-fi themed expansion.

 

The following images show my process of iterating the map in relation to the different tribes, regions, and names as the project grew.
